Adverbs, in Italian language, modify or define the meaning of a verb, a sentence (an adjective or another adverb).

Adverbs are invariable and the are various type: mannes, place, time, quantity, confirmation, negation, doubt.
The adverbs of manner indicate how the action expressed by the verb is carried out. The most common are: bene (well), male (badly), piano (quietly/gently), forte (loudly/strongly), volentieri (willing), così (like this).
The adverbs of place indicate where the action expressed by the verb is carried out. The most common are: qui, qua (here), lì, là (there), vicino (near), lontano (far), dentro (inside), fuori (outside), dietro (behind), davanti (in front of), sopra (above), sotto (below).
